Friends of Côte d'Ivoire (FOCI) is a non-profit organization whose members are Returned Peace Corps volunteers (RPCVs) and staff who served in Côte d'Ivoire, Ivorians living in the U.S., and other people with an interest in Côte d'Ivoire.

FOCI was founded in 1995 by a group of RPCVs as a way to help RPCVs fulfill the third goal of the Peace Corps Mission - to educate Americans back home about the culture and the people with whom we lived and worked. FOCI also provides a way for its members and donors to help the Ivorians who gave us so much during our time in Côte d'Ivoire.

Fellow volunteer with a new book and accolades
Posted: 08/17/08
Tony D'Souza (Cote d'Ivoire 00-02) has now put out his second book - "The Konkans". Judging by the accolades he's received both are very worth reading. In the spring Tony received a Guggenheim Fellowship for his work - not too shabby.

You can check out his books and news at http://www.tonydsouza.com/...
